Isabel del Castillo Velilla obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and her Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry through an International Double Degree program between the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in Spain and L’École Européenne de Chimie, Polymères et Matériaux (ECPM) in France. In 2020 she started her PhD at UAM supervised by Ana E. Platero-Prats and Carmen Montoro on the preparation of membranes and composites based on porous materials for application in water treatment, which she continues to carry out today. She joined the group in September 2023 as a visiting student to investigate the application of glass – MOF/COF composites in the removal of water pollutants.
